Project Overview

The Tasmania Parkinson’s Project is an initiative of the University of Tasmania. Our vision is to create a supportive community committed to improving the lives of those affected by Parkinson's disease.

We aim to this by:

1. Fostering world-class research to:
  a. better understand the causes and prevent Parkinson’s disease and
  b. improve current treatments and care for those living with Parkinson’s disease

2. Providing public education about Parkinson’s disease

To achieve these aims, we need your help!

The project welcomes anyone aged 18 and above, who is interested in learning more about Parkinson's or may be interested in participating in ground-breaking research. We invite people living with Parkinson’s, their carers and family, and anyone else interested in the condition to sign up and get involved.

Once you join us, we will then let you know about upcoming research projects, seminars and educational webinars. There may also be opportunities where you can work as part of our team in an advisory role, or as a research ambassador.
