Parkinson’s Project Overview

The Parkinson’s Project aspires to create a supportive community, committed to advancing our understanding of Parkinson’s and improving the lives of those affected by the condition. This initiative, from the University of Tasmania, will foster a network of engaged people, to facilitate the exchange of knowledge, ideas, and experiences related to Parkinson's.

The project welcomes anyone aged 18 and above, living in Australia, who is interested in learning more about Parkinson's or may be interested in participating in ground-breaking research. We invite people living with Parkinson’s, their carers, and anyone else interested in the condition to sign up and get involved. We will invite people to contribute to our research projects, as well as providing regular educational webinars and access to the latest Parkinson’s research findings. By contributing to the Parkinson’s Project, you can play a crucial role in advancing our scientific knowledge and understanding of Parkinson's.

What will I be asked to do?

You will simply be asked to enter your name and email address into a website. This will usually take less than a minute to do. We will then email you when we have research studies that may be of interest to you.

Who can register their interest?

Anyone at all - whether you have Parkinson’s or not - the more people that register, the more we can do to improve care, research and education.

Register your interest in the Tasmania Parkinson’s Project by clicking the button below. Please encourage anyone you know who has Parkinson’s or an interest in Parkinson’s to also register their interest.

We will be in touch via your contact details about the next steps. You can be involved in as little or as much as you want, and engagement in any research studies is of course voluntary.
